This kit allows you to detect Salmonella using PCR. It contains a lysis buffer to extract bacterial DNA from an enriched culture, obtained from a food sample, and a mix to PCR amplify a Salmonella-specific 284 bp gene fragment, which is then visualized using agarose gel electrophoresis.
